Austin Bank promotes 25-year employee

Austin Bank employee Natalie Lynch has been promoted to senior executive vice resident and chief revenue officer.

The promotion was approved at the June board of directors meeting at the Austin Bank corporate office in Jacksonville. Lynch will continue to work from the Austin Bank Longview Oak Forest location.

Lynch began her career with Austin Bank in 1999 as a credit analyst in Jacksonville. Throughout the past 25 years, she has served in several capacities for the bank, working as a loan officer, location president, regional president for the bankÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s North Region and played a leadership role in the bankÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s recent rebranding process.

In her new position, Lynch will join the bankÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s Executive Committee while assuming oversight of the Marketing and Treasury Management departments and AB Financial Services as well as the bankÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s low-to moderate-income lending initiatives and programs.

East Texas Trade Summit set Aug. 13

The East Texas Trade Summit is scheduled Aug. 13, at the Infinity Event Center ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” Bugatti Room at Holiday Inn Longview North.

The event is organized by a consortium of the Gladewater, Longview and Kilgore chambers of commerce; the Kilgore, Longview and Marshall economic development corporations; UT Tyler-Longview Small ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Development Center; and U.S. Commercial Service / International Trade Administration.

The event will provide opportunities for businesses to explore global trade opportunities and foster economic growth.

The East Texas Trade Summit also will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and local businesses to discuss crucial topics such as international trade strategies, financing options for exporters, and legislative insights affecting trade policies.

LeTourneau ranks among best value colleges

A new study by SmartAsset has found LeTourneau University ranked among the best value colleges and universities in Texas.

This study identifies these schools across five categories: tuition, student living costs, scholarship and grant offerings, student retention rate and starting salary for new graduates.

LeTourneau ranked eighth in Texas with average scholarships and grants of $18,510, median starting salaries of $63,500, average tuition of $35,648, average student living costs of $16,768, retention rate of 77% and a college education value index of 63.04.
