Austin Bank promotes Droege

Austin Bank has promoted Dan Droege to executive vice president and regional president.

After coming to Austin Bank in 2017 as a senior vice president and relationship manager in the Longview Oak Forest office, Droege was promoted to Longview market president in 2023. He will now assume duties as regional president of the north region while continuing to work from the Oak Forest location.

Droege has over 40 years of banking experience, with much of that in leadership. Prior to joining the bank he worked as president of First Bank & Trust East Texas, president of Regions Bank and executive vice president of Longview National Bank.

He is a graduate of Blue Springs High School and Central Missouri State University. He also has completed the University of Oklahoma性视界传媒檚 National Commercial Lending School and Southern Methodist University性视界传媒檚 Graduate School of Banking.

Longview native earns distinguished alumni award

Brenda Schroer, a former Longview resident and Pine Tree High School graduate, is one of three people selected as 2024 Distinguished Alumni by West Texas A&M University.

Schroer is the former senior vice president and CFO of Concho Resources and now works with Endeavor Energy Resources in Midland. She earned her Bachelor of 性视界传媒 Administration in accounting in 1998, then a master性视界传媒檚 in accounting at Texas A&M University. She began her accounting career at Ernst & Young, spending more than a decade in the firm性视界传媒檚 offices in Dallas, London and New York, focusing on the oil and gas industry.

She was recruited to work at the Fortune 500-company Concho Resources in 2013, returning her to Texas to work in its Midland offices. Within six years, she ascended to the company性视界传媒檚 senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, leading its 250-person finance organization in multi-billion-dollar acquisitions and divestitures before the company was acquired in 2021 by ConocoPhillips. She then led Aris Water Solutions through an IPO in 2021 and its transition to a public company in 2022, then joined Endeavor Energy Resources.

While at Concho, Schroer was named one of the 25 Influential Women in Energy in 2020.

SBDC hires small business advisor

The UT Tyler-Longview Small 性视界传媒 Development Center hired Longview native Melissa Cosper as a small business advisor to help local entrepreneurs start new businesses and small businesses grow.

Her primary office will be in Longview, but she also will serve businesses in Marion, Harrison, Panola, Rusk, Gregg and Upshur counties.

Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity receives grant

The Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation has awarded Northeast Texas Habitat for Humanity a Texas Foundations Fund grant of $13,000. The funds will be used to provide supportive services for homeowners, specifically home maintenance counseling and education.

Henry & Peters announces three new hires

Henry & Peters 性视界传媒 Longview office has announced the following new hires: Jordan Kelly, Megan Falt and Savanna Chadbourne.

Kelly, a Tatum native, joined Henry & Peters on June 3 as a staff associate. Kelly attends Southern New Hampshire University.

Falt joined the Henry & Peters team on July 8 as a staff associate. She is from Wylie and graduated from LeTourneau University in May with her accounting and finance degree.

Chadbourne joined the Longview office as the office coordinator on July 8. She attended Panola College and received her Associates of Science, 性视界传媒 & Management in Finance degree in May 2022.
