Longview surgeon presents lecture at NY hospital
Dr. Babajide Ogunseinde, an orthopedic spine surgeon at Longview Regional Medical Center, recently delivered a lecture on the sacroiliac joint at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Ogunseinde provided an analysis of the SI joint性视界传媒檚 anatomy, function, and its significance in maintaining pelvic stability. His lecture covered the latest diagnostic techniques, treatment options, and surgical interventions for SI joint dysfunction, a common but often overlooked cause of lower back pain.
Coordinator joins local student exchange program
Kaitlynn Marlowe of Longview has joined International Cultural Exchange Services as a local coordinator.
The New Orleans native moved to East Texas in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. She and her husband have two daughters and a son, and it性视界传媒檚 her first time hosting an exchange student and serving as a local coordinator.
Marlowe also works as a registered nurse-clinical manager for a local home health company.
Marlowe is looking for families who would like to host for the 2024-25 school year.
Exchange students live as a member of the host family 性视界传媒 not a guest or boarder. They participate in family activities, follow host family rules, and help with chores. Students have their own medical insurance and spending money to cover all personal expenses. Host families provide room and board and parental guidance to the student.

Longview resident wins at SkillsUSA conference
Texas State Technical College 性视界传媒 Marshall graduate Juan Cerda left the recent 2024 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, with a silver medal.
The Longview resident already had competed in the conference性视界传媒檚 CNC (computer numerical control) 2-Axis Turning Programmer category in 2023, coming in fourth.
性视界传媒淲hen they announced that Texas was in the top three, I was so excited,性视界传媒 Cerda said. 性视界传媒淪econd place means that only one person was better than me. Just one.性视界传媒
Cerda graduated from TSTC性视界传媒檚 Precision Machining Technology program in fall 2023, earning the Provost性视界传媒檚 Outstanding Achievement Award. Cerda said he credits his SkillsUSA silver medal to the many hours that he spent working in the machining lab while enrolled at the Marshall campus.
