性视界传媒淲e性视界传媒檝e been busy,性视界传媒 said Nona McKenna, events and marketing director for Schulman Theatres and its Film Alley and City Lights brands.

The Weatherford-based company began renovating the former Regal Longview Theater on North Eastman Road earlier this year. The theater closed more than a year ago as part of its parent company性视界传媒檚 bankruptcy.
Schulman Theatres looks for sites outside of major metropolitan areas when selecting locations for its entertainment centers, McKenna said. The company likes to be an active part of its communities.
性视界传媒淭hat性视界传媒檚 hard to do in major metropolitan areas,性视界传媒 she said.
Schulman Theatres has four other Film Alley locations around Texas, in Weatherford, Bastrop, Terrell and Georgetown. It also has two traditional theaters, called City Lights, in Palestine and Mount Pleasant.
The company chose to locate in Longview because the city is the right size, and it性视界传媒檚 an 性视界传媒渦p and coming性视界传媒 area, McKenna said.
性视界传媒淲hen you can put in more than one activity into a space, it gives more things for the guests in that area,性视界传媒 she said, pointing to family entertainment centers such as Main Event as an example. The pandemic drove that home, she said.
Schulman found ways to keep employees working during the pandemic, she said, turning parking lots into drive-in theaters, for instance.
性视界传媒淚t made us really realize how having those aspects were important to the community,性视界传媒 McKenna said.
The former Regal building had 14 theaters. Schulman Theatres tore out six of those to make room for everything else it put into the building: duck pin bowling; darts; cornhole; a full redemption arcade, where players win tickets they exchange for prizes; a restaurant; and full bar with craft cocktails and 24 beers on draft. The restaurant is a made-from-scratch kitchen. The Longview location isn性视界传媒檛 yet serving the full menu but will be adding more items.
Film Alley also offers in-theater dining, with ordering available in the concessions area or from a kiosk.
Theaters feature full reclining seats, and two of them are ST Immersive theaters with larger screens, 4D projection, DTS surround sound and theater seats that are heated and can recline.
Look for Film Alley to start offering special events, including live music and karaoke nights or possibly comedy nights. Free community events are a requirement for each location, and the Longview site will offer free photos with Santa several times in December.
Birthday parties, corporate and group events also will be available. McKenna said Film Alley also provides special packages for youth sports leagues and schools.
Film Alley-Longview employs about 150 full-and part-time employees. The general manager is Steve Winn, and Grady Corbett is events and marketing manager.
