City of Longview opens holiday decorating contest for homes, businesses

Visit Longview, the Longview Hospitality and Tourism Association and the city of Longview Parks and Recreation Department are inviting residents and businesses to participate in the annual Longview Holiday Decorating Contest.

性视界传媒淭his festive, community-wide competition is a chance to showcase your creativity and holiday spirit while competing for fantastic prizes and community recognition,性视界传媒� the city said in a statement.

Categories and prizes are:

Hallmark-Inspired 性视界传媒es

First place People性视界传媒檚 Choice: $400 cash or gift card;

Second place People性视界传媒檚 Choice: $200 cash or gift card; and

Creative Excellence Award: $400 cash or gift card plus the Hallmark Creative Excellence Award traveling trophy for one year.

Hallmark-Inspired Residences

First place People性视界传媒檚 Choice: $100 cash or gift card from Hardin性视界传媒檚 ACE Hardware;

Submit a photo of a decorated business or residence through Dec. 9 by visiting the Visit Longview website at .

Voting details

Voting opens Dec. 13 and closes Dec. 22.

Like favorite entries on Facebook (one point per 性视界传媒淟ike性视界传媒�), or in-person votes can be cast at Visit Longview Marketplace and Gift Shop at 109 W. Tyler St. for five points per vote. The marketplace is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
