性视界传媒淣orth Elementary is incredibly proud to announce that two of our incoming first-graders raised over $600 for our Hallsville ISD Backpack Program,性视界传媒 Morrison said. 性视界传媒淭heir dedication to helping others at such a young age is truly inspiring and reflects the core values we strive to instill in our students.

The Nutritional Backpacks for Kids Project aims to provide nutritional meals and snacks on weekends and holidays for children whose primary source of food is the school cafeteria. The initiative provides each child with a backpack filled with easy to prepare food every Friday afternoon and costs about $200 per child for the academic year.

Students in the backpack program are initially identified by campus counselors and teachers. Staff members are provided information to help them identify 性视界传媒渃hronically hungry性视界传媒 children. Counselors then contact the child and family to gain permission to enter the program.

性视界传媒淭his program is 100% possible because of donations,性视界传媒 said HISD Director of Special/Federal Programs Amy Whittle. 性视界传媒淲e did a big push for funds at the end of the school year because the increase in need and groceries caused us to go over the amount we typically spend. Our community was great, as usual, and stepped up so that no child went hungry.

The students initially raised an estimated $466 from the lemonade stand before additional donations were given to help raise the amount to $600.
