Spring Hill ISD性视界传媒檚 newest board member is an alumnus of the district who said he性视界传媒檚 proud of the schools he性视界传媒檒l help lead.
Ryan Small, a self-described 性视界传媒渓ifelong Panther,性视界传媒 took the oath of office to become the district性视界传媒檚 Place 4 board member during the Sept. 9 meeting.
He is filling the remainder of former Trustee Dave Duncan性视界传媒檚 term. Duncan resigned in July for health-related reasons.
Small and his wife, Karlee, were born and raised in the Spring Hill area, Small said in a recent interview. They have three children: Emerson, who is in fourth grade; Blakely, who is in the first grade; and Olivia, who is 1 year old, Small said.
性视界传媒淲e knew there was nowhere else we would rather raise a family,性视界传媒 he said.
Small is a loan officer at Guaranty Bank and Trust in Longview. He attended Tarleton State University, graduating in 2013 with a bachelor性视界传媒檚 degree in finance and accounting, on the bank性视界传媒檚 website.
Small is president of the , which raises funds for the district, and is involved in other civic groups, according to his biography.
He said he expressed interest in serving on the school board. He said he values the district and Spring Hill community.
性视界传媒淚 feel like our district holds our students accountable to ensure they性视界传媒檙e respectful and hardworking and kind,性视界传媒 he said. 性视界传媒淥ur teachers 性视界传媒 they foster growth in the classrooms.性视界传媒
Small said he has become an active member of the community.
性视界传媒淥ur family性视界传媒檚 passionate about serving the students and faculty in the district to ensure we性视界传媒檙e providing the same, if not better, educational opportunities and experiences Karlee and I had growing up,性视界传媒 Small said.
Small said he intends to run for election when the seat comes up on the ballot in May.
