Brookshire Grocery Co. said it will officially kick off construction of Longview性视界传媒檚 new Fresh by Brookshires on July 30.

The public is invited that day to the 9 a.m. groundbreaking ceremony at the northwest corner of North Eastman Road and North Fourth St., where the store will be located.

性视界传媒淐onstruction is planned to start soon, and the store is expected to be completed next year,性视界传媒 information from the company said.

The community is invited to attend the event and take photos with the company性视界传媒檚 13-foot tall motorized 性视界传媒淏ig Grocery Cart.性视界传媒 BGC性视界传媒檚 Community Kitchen and team of employee-partners will provide free breakfast.

The store would be built in the 50-acre Park Central development on the Fourth Street extension between Hawkins Parkway and Eastman Road. The store is expected to be about 66,000 square feet on about 10 acres of land.

Longview Economic Development Corp. helped clear the path for Fresh to locate there by providing $1.5 million toward addressing sewer and issues at the location

Heartisans Marketplace性视界传媒檚 Grainola has for the first time moved the nonprofit organization into the world of wholesale.

Heartisans is a Longview nonprofit organization that serves homeless and low-income women by helping them in a variety of ways to become self-sufficient. A store stocked with products made in-house or purchased from other businesses helps support the organization性视界传媒檚 work, which now includes a community of duplexes that provides program graduates with housing as they transition to independence.

Evie Henson, Heartisans性视界传媒 new executive director, said the organization acquired the recipes and equipment of B Good Grainola when its owner, Hilliard Rotzler, decided to close his business. Heartisans already carried his product in the store.

性视界传媒淲e jumped on it because we knew it was a great product,性视界传媒 Henson said. 性视界传媒淗e came in and trained us and shared all of his recipes and taught us his exact way.性视界传媒

The only thing that changed was the label, she said.

性视界传媒淭he recipes are the same.性视界传媒 Henson said.

The recipes use spent grain from the brewing process at Oil Horse Brewery in downtown Longview, along with other ingredients.

Heartisans makes Grainola in-store. It性视界传媒檚 stocked in the Gilmer Road retail store, but it性视界传媒檚 also sold in locations around East Texas 性视界传媒 in Marshall, Henderson and Kilgore, for instance, and in Longview at Jack性视界传媒檚 Natural Foods, Granary Health Foods and some Zippy J性视界传媒檚 gas stations.

Credit union construction

East Texas Professional Credit Union announced to members this month that it will build a new Longview main branch at its existing office at 409 E. Loop 281.

The new office will be 10,000 square feet, with work expected to start this fall. The credit union will continue to offer most of its services there during construction, but the drive-thru will be 性视界传媒渋noperable性视界传媒 during that time, an announcement to members said.
