The Republican Party of Harrison County性视界传媒檚 leaders have unanimously passed a resolution supporting the legislative priority adopted by the Republican Party of Texas, calling for new leadership in the Texas House.

The resolution charges House District 7 state Rep. Jay Dean, R-Longview, to support those goals, particularly after Speaker Dade Phelan went against the will of the GOP majority by appointing nine Democrats to chair committees in the 88th session.

性视界传媒淭he Harrison County Republican Party may censure their elected representative should he deliberately violate the RPT priorities and the will of the voters, by voting to elect a Speaker of the House who appoints Democrats to chair committees in the Texas House,性视界传媒 according to the resolution, which was adopted Dec. 20 by the local party性视界传媒檚 executive committee.

The House Republican Caucus convened in December to choose its nominee for Texas House speaker and voted to support Rep. David Cook, R-Mansfield, after some of the members supporting Rep. Dustin Burrows, R-Lubbock, walked out of the meeting.

The legislative session runs Jan. 14 to June 2. One of the legislative priorities of the state GOP is to to keep Democrats from chairing committees because they have the power to stall Republican legislation.
