MARSHALL 35, JACKSONVILLE 0: MARSHALL ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” Behind 100+ yard rushing nights from Isaiah Bush and Keyonta Lias, the Marshall Mavericks (5-2, 2-1) defeated the Jacksonville FightinÐÔÊӽ紫ý™ Indians (1-7, 0-6) 35-0 on Friday night during the Pink Out game.

Marshall took the early lead on a 36-yard TD pass from Alton Henderson to Raijon Sims.

Henderson later scored on a 15-yard run for a 14-0 Maverick lead, and on the opening drive of the third quarter Marshall extended the cushion to 21-0 with a 60-yard TD pass from Henderson to Sims.

A rushing TD by Bush made it 28-0, and a 70-yard scoring jaunt by Lias late made the final 35-0.

Monta Haynes officially secured the win with a late interception for the teamÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s third of the evening. Jack Weaver lined up in football fansÐÔÊӽ紫ý™ favorite formation, the victory formation, and put another win on the board.

Lias led all rushers with 147 yards, and Bush followed after with an even 100.

Next up, Marshall heads to Nacogdoches to face off against the Nacogdoches (3-4, 1-1) Dragons on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

GILMER 31, VAN 23: GILMER ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” Trillyon Butler rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries, and the Gilmer Buckeyes earned a 31-23 win over the Van Vandals on Friday in District 7-4A Division I action at Jeff Traylor Stadium.

The win moves the Buckeyes to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in district play and sets up a big district showdown next week at Pleasant Grove against the 5-2, 2-0 Hawks.

Van drops to 5-2 and 1-1 with the loss.

Zade Taylor added 11 carries for 51 yards and two touchdowns for the Buckeyes. Brady McCown completed 7 of 13 passes for 53 yards, and Cadon Tennison was 1 for 1 for 42 yards passing to go along with one catch for 4 yards.

Brendan Webb caught four passes for 43 yards.

TATUM 33, GLADEWATER 28: TATUM ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” JaCorie Bradley rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” including the game-winner with 4:24 left ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” and the Tatum Eagles earned a 33-28 win over the Gladewater Bears on Thursday in District 8-3A Division I action at Eagle Stadium.

Tatum moves to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in district play with the win, and the Eagles will visit Atlanta next week. Gladewater drops to 3-5 and 1-3 and will have a bye next week.

Jamarri Gipson rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown for Tatum. Cayden Tatum picked up 96 yards and scored once on 11 carries, and Isaac McAlister scored once and rushed for 33 yards on three attempts.

Bradley also completed 4 of 7 passes for 71 yards.

Brandon Howard recorded 10 tackles, forced a fumble and broke up three passes for the Eagles to lead the defensive effort.

Gladewater opened the scoring when Luke Brown tossed a 34-yard TD pass to Brayson Woods with 5:58 left in the opening quarter.

Tatum answered with a 12-yard TD run by McAlister and a 41-yard run by Cayden Tatum to lead 12-7, but Gladewater used a 12-yard run by Carson Cooper with 6:25 left in the half to move back on top 14-12.

Cayden Tatum picked off a pass to end the half, but the Bears led by a couple at the break.

CooperÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s 9-yard run with 5:43 left in the third gave the Bears a 21-12 lead, but Gipson scored from three yards out with 1:58 to play in the third, and it was a 21-19 game heading to the final stanza.

BrownÐÔÊӽ紫ý™s 4-yard TD run with 10:05 left in the game moved the Bears in front 28-19, but Gipson scored on a 1-yard run with 6:25 left to pull the Eagles to within a couple (28-26), and then Bradley broke off a 45-yard TD run with 4:24 left to give Tatum the lead for good.

DAINGERFIELD 42, HOOKS 0: DAINGERFIELD ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” Chase Johnson had a hand in five touchdowns for Daingerfield as the Tigers rolled to a 42-0 win over Hooks in District 10-3A Division II action at Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium.

The win moves Daingerfield to 3-5 overall and 3-1 in district play. Hooks falls to 4-3 and 2-1.

Johnson opened the scoring with a 7-yard TD run, and Eric Ballasteros booted the PAT with 40 seconds left in the opening period.

In the second quarter, a 29-yard run by Johnson gave the Tigers a 14-0 halftime lead.

The Tigers put things away in the third with a 12-yard TD pass from Johnson to Mason Williams at the 9:26 mark, a 50-yard scoring strike from Johnson to Reign Wallace with 5:39 left and a 23-yard TD run by Johnson with 3:50 showing on the clock.

A 3-yard TD run by Isaiah Parker with 10:05 left in the fourth quarter ended the scoring.

Daingerfield will visit Hughes Springs and Hooks will host New Boston next week.

CENTENNIAL 42, TYLER 36: TYLER ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” The Burleson Centennial Spartans held on for a 42-36 win over the Tyler Lions in District 7-5A Division I action on Friday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

The Spartans improve 4-3 overall and 2-1 in league play, while the Lions fall to 4-4 and 2-2.

Burleson Centennial jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead and although the Lions tied the game at 14-14, it felt like Tyler was playing from behind all night.

The Lions outpaced the Spartans 459 yards to 452, but BC had the win.

Tyler offensive stars were running back Ashton Arriaga, quarterback Caden Granberry and wide receivers LaTreyson Haralson, Nicholas Collins and Davion Sirles.

Arriaga ran for 161 yards and an 11-yard TD on 21 carries, while Granberry connected on 15 of 23 passing attempts for 256 yards and four touchdown passes with an interception.

Haralson had another outstanding game with four catches for 106 yards and three TDs ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” 53, 27 and 7 yards.

Sirles had four receptions for 51 yards with Collins adding three snags for 63 yards and a 10-yard TD.

The Spartans had two running backs break the century mark ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” Jaylon Walker (19 carries, 133 yards, 2 TDs of 28 and 10 yards) and Jaxon Williams (13-102, TD of 33 yards).

QB Jacob Torres hit on 13 of 20 passing attempts for 157 yards and three TD passes to Damien Long of 26, 41 and 15 yards.

Tyler returns to the road on Oct. 25, traveling to Midlothian, while the Spartans return home to face Red Oak that same night.

U. HILL 64, CAMPBELL 0: CAMPBELL ÐÔÊӽ紫ý” EJ Mowery had a hand in six touchdowns, including one on defense, and the Union Hill Bulldogs rolled to a 65-0 Six Man win over Campbell on Thursday.

Mowery completed 7 of 9 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns, rushed for 56 yards and two scores on five carries and recovered a fumble for a TD. He also went 7 for 7 on extra points.

Cayden Elledge and Mitch Mobley caught touchdown passes, and Eli Mendoza had a receiving TD and a rushing TD for the Bulldogs. Brent Lively scored on a 9-yard run. Dakota McCoy caught one pass for 47 yards, and Payton Dunn hauled in two passes for 63 yards.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in district play with the win.

The Lobo JV A team earned a 20-3 win over Tyler Legacy.

Dalton Glezen scored on a 36-yard run, and Jacorian Stevenson had a pair of 2-yard TD runs for the Lobos. Felipe Ayala kicked two extra points, and Roman Guidry intercepted a pass.

The JV B team coasted to a 44-0 win.

ZÐÔÊӽ紫ý™Camerohn Parker had TD runs of 30 and 22 yards. ZhaÐÔÊӽ紫ý™Quorian Bush added a 4-yard TD run. Marcus Gates scored on a 6-yard run. Aaron Ashley tossed a 25-yard TD pass to Matthew Slayton, and Campbell Liebengood threw a 30-yard TD strike to Bush. Marcus Gates had a pair of 2-point runs. Bush added a 2-pointer, and Ashley threw a 2-point pass to Sean Davis.

The 9th grade A team notched a 39-18 win.

JaKai Mitchell rushed for TDs of 10 and 2 yards, and Jamarian Turner (10), Jakelvin Muckleroy (20) and Jacaiden Davis (26) tacked on touchdown runs. Jeremiah Livas kicked on PAT. Muckleroy had a pair of 2-point runs. Mitchell added a 2-pointer, and Davis tossed a 2-point pass to Ryder Fretwell.

Nickelan Bush, Cayden Royal and Chaztin Wrighten recovered fumbles for the Lobos.

The Lobo 9th B team got rushing TDs of 40 and 28 yards from Jordan Jackson to go alogn with a 90-yard TD run and a 2-point run from Daeveon Pippins in a 20-6 win over Legacy.

Daniel Mumphrey and Ian Duncan intercepted passes.

The Judson Middle School 8th grade rolled to a 32-2 win over Boulter to improve to 5-0-1 on the year.

Kobe Williams carried 13 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns for Judson. Brody Bowden rushed for 36 yards, Will Burks 12 yards, Austin Hill 15 yards and Ladarius Richardson 20 yards. Hill also completed 6 of 10 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns. Bowden had one catch for 60 yards and a TD, Quay Carter two catches for 52 yards and a TD, Grayson Minshew one catch for 42 yards and a TD, Marcus Sheridan one catch for 12 yards and Caiman Flowers one catch for a 2-point conversion.

Burks had three tackles and a sack, Flowers two tackles for loss, three QB pressures and a blocked punt, Richardson a tackle for loss and QB pressure, Kevontae Webb a tackle for loss and a sack and Daylon Lewis an interception.

The Judson 7th grade remained unbeaten at 6-0 with a 22-0 shutout of Boulter.

DÐÔÊӽ紫ý™Anthony Williams rushed for 15 yards and a TD, Bryson Mims had 89 yards rushing and a 2-pointer, Peyton Murray 20 rushing yards, Carson Payne four yards and Chris Booker two yards.

Williams completed 4 of 7 passes for 40 yards and Payne completed his only pass attempt for 27 yards and a TD. James Williams had two catches and a 2-pointer. Zykarion Jimmerson caught one pass for 27 yards and a TD, Marques Brown one catch for 33 yards and a TD and Tecknique Taylor one catch for 1 yard.

Tarvio Cooper had a sack, Jeremiah Woods two tackles for loss, Brown four tackles and a tackle for loss, Jakaria Gilder two tackles for loss and Mason Johnson a TFL and QB pressure.
