A man with measles was treated and released from Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
The patient, however, came from Upshur County, according to Dr. Lewis Browne with the Gregg County Health Authority in Longview.
The man, who was not identified by officials, arrived at the hospital性视界传媒檚 emergency room Saturday and was released. He was not hospitalized.
Testing by the state of Texas and the hospital confirmed the case, Browne said.
性视界传媒淚t性视界传媒檚 the first case we性视界传媒檝e had in a long time,性视界传媒 he said.
Christus Good Shepherd confirmed the measles case but wouldn性视界传媒檛 release any other information because of privacy laws.

Lara Anton, a spokeswoman for Texas Department of State Health Services, said the agency is 性视界传媒渟till gathering information to determine where the person resides and if this case is related to the outbreak in West Texas.性视界传媒
She said data going back to 2006 shows no measle cases in Gregg or Upshur counties.
Browne said people, and their children, who have been vaccinated should be OK adding that it性视界传媒檚 a 性视界传媒渉ighly contagious性视界传媒 disease with a long incubation period. He said it could take up to 21 days after exposure for a person to get sick.
The state has reported 561 measles cases as of Tuesday, according to the latest update from the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Ten Texas counties have been designated as having active spread of the illness: Cochran, Dallam, Dawson, Gaines, Garza, Lynn, Lamar, Lubbock, Terry and Yoakum.
A total of 58 people in Texas have been hospitalized, according to state health officials. Two school-aged children in the state have died, both of them unvaccinated.
People who are unvaccinated and without health insurance can get a measles vaccination from the county health office at 405 E. Marshall Ave. in Longview. Otherwise, vaccinations are available at pediatricians性视界传媒 and other doctors性视界传媒 offices.
