A Pine Tree ISD assistant superintendent and Longview City Council member has been named the lone finalist for superintendent in Alto ISD.

Alto ISD trustees voted Tuesday to name Derrick Conley to the post. State law requires a 21-day waiting period after the naming of a lone finalist before officially hiring a superintendent. The board is set to meet Feb. 17 to consider an official contract.

性视界传媒淭hroughout his extensive career in education, Mr. Conley has also served as executive director of elementary education, campus principal, assistant principal, teacher and coach,性视界传媒 Alto ISD said in a statement.

In May, Conley defeated two challengers for the District 1 seat on the Longview council, replacing Temple 性视界传媒淭em性视界传媒 Carpenter, who vacated his seat to run for mayor.

Conley was born in Paris, Texas, and grew up in Cooper.

He received his bachelor性视界传媒檚 degree from East Texas State University, his master性视界传媒檚 from Lamar University and superintendent certification from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Conley came to Pine Tree ISD in 2018.
