A tornado watch has been issued until 9 p.m. Friday for multiple area counties, including Gregg.
The following counties are under the watch:
- Franklin
- Harrison
- Wood
- Upshur
- Cass
- Smith
- Gregg
- Marion
- Morris
- Camp
- Titus
The National Weather Service of Shreveport says the area should expect rapid thunderstorm development and intensification over the next few hours with potential hazards including tornadoes (particularly strong and long-lived), damaging wind gusts of 60-plus mph, large to very large hail (potentially baseball-sized or larger).
