The new owners of a South Longview apartment complex are hoping improvements and a management change will give the complex a new lease on life.

McKinney-based Global Integrity Investments will celebrate the grand re-opening of Evergreen Estates, at 717 S. Green St., with two open house events: 4 p.m.-7 p.m. April 11聽聽and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. April 12.聽聽The events feature interior tours of the property, food by Sling'n Southern, games, prizes and music

The property was known in the past as Spring Creek Apartments and Village South.

The new owners are trying to break from the complex's bad reputation of previous years, they said.

"We're trying to get the word out as much as possible聽性视界传媒 this is not the place it used to be, nor will it ever be again," said Toby Potter, founder and CEO of Global Integrity Investments

"It's a complete rebrand of the place," with a new name and new management, he said.

Nick聽Love, vice president of investments, said the company wants to be a part of turning around that neighborhood. Work to improve the property has included dealing with mold damage, repairs to a fire damaged unit and repairing dangerous stairs.

A new laundry room features new washers and dryers, and a clubhouse area was added with vending machines. The exterior was painted, the parking lot was repaired and new signage has been installed

"We've just been replacing and updating everything," Love said, with more improvements planned.

The property features 94 one-and two-bedroom apartments renting for $795 and $895 a month.

The purchase of the property and improvements represent millions of dollars in investment in South Longview.聽

New Bagley store

Bagley Tractor & Equipment celebrated the opening of its new store this month as well as its 25th anniversary.

The new store, at 1000 S. Access Road in Longview, is a 23,000-square-foot facility that was built on 8 acres east of Cracker Barrel.

The company described it as owner Bill Bagley's "dream in the making."

The grand opening celebration included presentation of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation's "Agriculture Safety Zone." The Longview FFA helped present the program, and members of the Tatum FFA grilled hamburgers as a fundraiser for its organization.

Bagley Tractor presented both FFA groups a $500 donation during the Longview Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at the celebration.聽
