Social media posts show hiring is underway, and the work to finish the restaurant and entertainment venue is progressing inside. Signage also has been installed.

Michael Graham and his father, Bill Graham, own the project that is under construction in the commercial center The Crossing at Main and Main. The business was constructed using shipping containers.

The restaurant will include a craft cocktail bar, third-floor deck, live music amphitheater, an 18-hole putting course, pickleball courts, a splash pad and children性视界传媒檚 area.

Women's clothing store opens

Alice & Elizabeth brought "timeless Southern style" with its opening this year to the The Village Shopping Center in Longview.

The store celebrates "classic charm and the modern woman," said owner Mia King in a statement

Located at 2002 Judson Road, Suite 102, King is joined by her mother, Shonda Leslie, to operate the store. The store features women's clothing, accessories and gifts, including denim, dresses, home goods and self-care essentials.

The store is named in honor of Mia性视界传媒檚 grandmothers: Winona Elizabeth Ann Williams of Longview and Alice Irma Parlington of Mount Vernon. King described them as "two remarkable women whose lives, style, and values continue to inspire the heart of the brand."

Alice & Elizabeth will hold a grand opening event from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. May 3. Local vendors also will participate from noon-4 p.m., including Crust & Crumb, The Macaron Chick, 80 Acre Market 性视界传媒 Market Brew, Something Golden, Tracy性视界传媒檚 Flowers and more.聽

Alice & Elizabeth is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and also offers online shopping at .

Walmart Neighborhood Market remodels

The Walmart Neighborhood Market at 3812 Gilmer Road celebrated the store's recently completed remodel this month.

New features include: new signage throughout the store; an expansion of the online grocery pick and delivery area; and an expanded pharmacy.

Members of the Longview Chamber of Commerce and the Longview High School band and choir helped the store性视界传媒檚 associates mark the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, community celebration and grant presentations to local nonprofit organizations. The event also featured food trucks and vendors onsite handing out giveaways and samplings for attendees.聽

Walmart store manager Christopher Hawthorn presented grants to several local nonprofit organizations: $500 to Salvation Army; $1,000 to East Texas Food Bank; $1,000 to Longview High School theater and $2,500 to Longview High School choir.

CVS Closure

The CVS Pharmacy at 119 W. Marshall Ave., near downtown Longview, is set to close May 6.聽

CVS locations will remain open at 1754 W. Loop 281 and inside Longview's Target.

The store is among hundreds the company had said it would close this year.
